The truth behind cruises.

David Foster Wallace was a tremendous intellect, as evidenced by any number of awards ("Genius Awards" are often a good indicator). This article perfectly captures how I felt when my family took a cruise in the late 80's - tanned, relaxed, slightly embarrassed at all the food, really embarrassed that we were visiting some of the poorest people's homes in the world and not really doing much to help, etc. You get the picture.
